The next regularly scheduled meeting of the NHS will be on Monday, 2 December in E-220. Be there, or be marked absent.
Please give blood on 26 November. If you cannot, please encourage someone who can to do so. Fifty donors will secure a scholarship from Virginia Blood Services for our school. Non-CHS donors are welcome, too.
Come on out, buy some hot chocolate, and support the ladies as they battle it out tomorrow night. Even if you aren’t working the event, you can show your support for your fellow members by enjoying a night out under the stadium lights one more time.
Because the varsity team made the playoffs (Go Cavs!), Powder Puff football has been rescheduled to Monday, 18 November. Please plan accordingly.

Members are reminded that the first Monday of the month is 4 November. Accordingly, there will be a plenary meeting after school in E-220. If you must miss, let an officer know ahead of time and save yourself a penalty hour.
The next NHS meeting will be on Tuesday, 8 October, in Mr. Lewis’s room at 2:45. Please bring $15 dollars for dues, and be prepared to discuss sanctioned service hour activities, including tutoring and the blood drive. Ms. Christine Homan from Virginia Blood Services will be present for the meeting.
Also, anyone not otherwise occupied with the SAT on Saturday and wanting to help out with the Special Olympic Soccer activity should see Mr. Lewis ASAP.
Many thanks to new and returning members who made last night’s induction and reception run smoothly. The evening served as a delightful reminder that without scholars such as yourselves, there would be no reason to have a school.
An officers’ meeting will be held in Mr. Lewis’s room, E220, immediately after school on Wednesday, 17 October 2012. This is in preparation for the plenary meeting on the following day.
